Awarded by AEE, this training event is being delivered by the Association of Energy Engineers (Irish Chapter) and the event is organized by SQT on their behalf.

Overview
Measurement and Verification is fundamental to understanding whether investments made to achieve energy performance improvement and/ or carbon reductions have been successful or otherwise and have delivered the intended improvements. The results of measurements and verifications are used by governments and other organization’s to demonstrate conformity to their own sustainability objectives.

Over the years many Measurement and Verification protocols have been developed, originating with the North American Measurement and Verification Protocol, leading to many different iterations of this initial document to the point where many countries and utility companies have their own M&V approaches and protocols, and ASHRAE has its own guideline document and ISO, the International Standards Organisation has its own published standard in this area ISO 50015.

The training event serves to strip back the mystery around measurement and verification and explains the fundamental principles that run through all M&V approaches. We examine the main protocols in existence relating to M&V and assist individuals to develop the knowledge and skills required to deliver appropriate measurement and verification plans for all energy improvement activities undertaken.
